‘Doing it for our future’ delays the present till it’s no longer worth living.

An AI created trucker shares his life to a younger copy of himself.
Millions of miles spent behind the wheel earning the money which were supposed to build a happy future for the entire family. But the wife gets sick and the truck is sold so that the couple might live their last months together.

“Finally, the older man climbed down from the truck.

Before leaving, he handed the photograph back.

“Keep it in there. Maybe someday it’ll remind you what matters.“”

Should we all give up ‘trucking’, or anything else for that matter, in order to spend more time with our family?
Or should we do that which gives meaning to our lives? Which makes us feel alive?

I’m afraid there’s no recipe.
Each of us must decide for themselves.
But please make that decision with those who matter to you!
There are lots of happy truckers out there. Who will continue to be happy for as long as they do it for the right reason.
For the love of it instead of for a distant reward in a future which may never come.
